As we know Windows 11 has an elegant design, a user can have the weather notification widget on their taskbar. Although this is a good feature to quickly see the weather, some users may feel that it makes their taskbar too full or interrupts them while they are working. If you are among those who like minimalistic toolbars, you might want to delete the weather notification widget.

Step-by-Step Guide to Disabling the Weather Widget.

Accessing Taskbar Settings

1. In an empty space on your taskbar, right-click.
2. Choose Taskbar settings from the dropdown. This will open Taskbar settings within the Windows Settings app.

Turning Off the Weather Widget

1. In Taskbar settings, scroll down to get to the part titled Taskbar items.
2. Find Widgets and turn off toggle switch near it.

That is all! The weather widget will be removed from your taskbar so that you have a cleaner and smoother experience of dealing with your taskbar.

Additional Tips

To restore the weather widget, you will have to enable the Widgets switch on in the Taskbar items category.

Also note that by disabling the weather widget, other widgets cannot be accessed. These could be needed in future instances and thus re-enabling them will be necessary.
